As a current, part-time graduate student @ George Mason, I usually take 1 class per semester, and it's more cost-effective to purchase the Daily Permit, as opposed to a Weekly or Semester Permit.
However, purchasing a Daily Permit is a time-consuming process, and I usually procrastinate and leave it off till the last minute (day of) which results in added stress on my part.
This Script aims to solve my longstanding issue, and enable me to more easily purchase Daily Permit for the date of class.
You can pass either a weekday or a hardcoded date for the parking date
-- date a purchased daily parking permit is valid for.
Parking Date can be a weekday like 'Monday' 'Tuesday' 'Wednesday'
and so on.
In this case, the script will calculate and use the date of the upcoming weekday, starting from today.
If weekday falls on today -- for example, if parking date is "Monday" and today is a Monday -- then today's date will be used.
You could also hard-code the date: October 10
It will need to be in the format of %B %d
, as above.
Example: December 31
