Accepting chat
As soon as an agent is online the visitor chat box will switch to an online state. The title of the chat box will change from We're not online to Chat with us, you can customize this text and lots of other settings here.
As soon as the visitor enters a message and hits the Enter
key the less busiest agent will receive the chat request. On the left side of the screen you can see all of the current chat sessions. Clicking the new item will display the chat messages and will allow the agent to respond.
On the real-time visitors list, there is a link labeled engage to chat that will start a conversation with the visitor. If an agent invites a visitor to chat their chat box will automatically pop open and they will see the text configured for an invite action.
When you are on a chat session and the visitor changes page, you'll be notified and see what page they are currently browsing.
Only an agent can terminate a chat session. When an agent clicks on the remove icon, the visitor will be notified that the agent has closed the chat session.
