Team Silva was created to modernize the silviculture application, RESULTS (Reporting Silviculture Updates and Land Status Tracking System). Team Silva is a team in the Forestry Suite of Applications Program.
Silviculture is the growth and management of trees to meet B.C.'s resource management objectives.
RESULTS is the Ministry of Forests' database for silviculture information, land base investment and the tracking of reforestation obligations. The data in RESULTS informs decisions about how to use B.C.'s forests.
Silva was chosen as the name for this team because silva is the root word in silviculture that means forest or woodland in Latin. Silva is also a common Portuguese family name and this team has many Brazilian members from Encora.
Guide users without technical skill to report, analyze and plan silviculture activities. Updated on March 21, 2023.

The Team Silva logo depicts the life cycle of a tree from cone, germling, sapling, pole to mature tree. This image also represents Team Silva's use of Agile/Scrum methodology, specifically showing that we deliver services in an iterative cycle over time, instead of all at once at the end.
The image used for this logo is watercolour painting by Caroline Wood.
The font in the Team Silva logo is Glacial Indifference by Hanken Design Co.
The final composition of this logo was arranged in Inkscape by Jack Sam.
