English 101

GitHub Workflow Status (with event)

Introduction

These are the example sentences that I wrote to review on English concepts. Also, there are Words that I collected to review and learn their definition.

Notes

These are the points regarding my speaking ability, as well as English phrases that I have encountered, and I am collecting and documenting them here.

  • It is better to say 'I code alone' instead of saying 'I code lonely' because lonely has a negative tone. (@elahe.dstn)
  • "To hear something straight from the horse's mouth" means that you heard the information from someone who has personal knowledge on the spoken matter
  • The term kk is an abbreviation for “okay” or “kewl” and is commonly used in America and Australia. It is often used in online messaging, texting, and gaming to convey approval, acceptance, agreement, or acknowledgment.

Letter Being Silent

Silent G words

For whatever reason, the letter G likes to stay quiet when it is paired up with the letter N. Examples include gnaw, gnarly, gnat, gnash, gnome, champagne, cologne, align, assign, benign, sign, feign, foreign, and reign. The letter G also often keeps quiet when it sees the letter H, as in sigh, high, sight, light, bright, night, fight, though, and thorough.
