symlink-paste

This is a small utility for windows that will let you create symbolic links by right clicking and choosing "Paste as symbolic link". That way you don't have to use mklink from the command line.

Installation

  1. Download symlink-paste.zip from Downloads.
  2. Copy symlink-paste.exe to a known search path (e.g., c:\windows\system32).
  3. Run symlink-paste.reg.

Usage

  1. Copy a file/directory or its path.
  2. Right click on the background of any directory and select "Paste as symbolic link"
