I have a similar dream, that all virtual works can be connected, and mods can be shared across games!
And I hope to save user data to https://forum.solidproject.org/ , so it is cheaper (than blockchain or filecoin), and has build-in schema support (JSON-LD, RDF) that ensure the interoperable of mods.
