Is the Doc addon in the feature roadmap for RN? #63
Comments
Will look into this when I can, not sure exactly what that would involve but the idea is to bring react native storybook up to speed with the web version so ideally yes. |
Great! Thanks for answer :) |
Curious about this add-on's implementation. How would it be possible to showcase the components on the web? Even though there is RN web, I would feel it might not cater to a larger number of use cases. |
@kiranjd it won't be possible to do this in a way that suits everyone. If it were to be solved for react-native-server you can't display the components in an easy way. The way to do it so that it works similar to the web version would be to do it with the on-device UI. Also it makes sense because that's where you usually expect the components to be used. On device UI also works for react-native-web so if you wanted to display them on the web it's possible Implementing this addon would be a big undertaking and will probably require help from the maintainers of the web version. |
You know if the Doc addon it would be in RN or if is planned to?
Thanks in advance :)
