[bug]: Fresh install with old mail import leads to thousands of garbled messages

What happened?

I don't know if I've used the wrong settings for the import or what. I used the cli tool to import mail messages like so:

stalwart-cli import messages --format maildir-nested ***@******** /path

And I thought it worked (for thousands of messages) - at least it gave that impression. But then when I finally got my iOS mail client to connect, it downloaded nothing but garbled and empty messages, mostly with emoji and chinese characters in them. I'm about to check if there is an easy way to dump all the imported messages and try again...

How can we reproduce the problem?
