AWS SDK and smithy clients now support the @requestCompression trait. Only operations marked with this trait will be compressed.
Users may configure this behavior:
DISABLE_REQUEST_COMPRESSION=true
.disable_request_compression = true
.aws_config::default(BehaviorVersion::latest()).disable_request_compression(true).load().await
.service::Config::builder().disable_request_compression(true)
.false
REQUEST_MIN_COMPRESSION_SIZE_BYTES=128
.request_min_compression_size_bytes = 128
.aws_config::default(BehaviorVersion::latest()).request_min_compression_size_bytes(128).load().await
.service::Config::builder().request_min_compression_size_bytes(128)
.10240
