as_something representation

I wonder if, as well as toRepresentation and fromRepresentation, there could be asRepresentation to work in with statements - at the end of the block, the data could come back into its source path

with as_nodelist(path) as nodes:
    ... do stuff with nodes

# at end of with block path has been updated with data from nodes
