The gridlayout package has full-bleed header and sidebar special elements that avoid issue with gaps etc and create a more classic dashboard view. These will increase the likelihood that an app made with the ui editor is usable for "real world" scenarios

Now that we have good nested gridlayout support it would be best to just add general purpose sidebar and header support rather than tie it to gridlayout specifically.
