Formal or informal salutation?

Are we using a formal or informal salutation to the reader?
Like in the sentence Use as little or as much React as you need should we use Du or Sie? Or maybe even use a non personal man?

We use du. Sometimes the non personal approach won't work and it sounds like robots are writing these docs.

We had the same discussion in the Spanish translation and we also decided to go the informal way :-)
