Snake spit vs dog spit

It might not be a bug but the snakes' spit is different than the dogs' spit. I have 94% magic resistant on my rogue and can tank the dogs' spits (even poison enchanted boss), while the snakes' spits are deadly. I think the snakes' spits are physical, both the spit and then the pool as well.

Spitting snakes can be found in the Secret Tunnel (LT), dogs usually can be found in catacombs level 7-8, caves level 9-12.
