While "PlatformIO does not depend on “CMake” and uses own multi-platform build system.", it cannot be setup without installing at least one default Toolchain (e.g. MinGW). What would be the recommendation for configuring CLion? Nothing is stated at https://docs.platformio.org/en/latest/integration/ide/clion.html

I don't understand why PlatformIO abandoned its dependency on CMake and built its own multi platform system. This resulted in the complete failure of the project's header file introduction and Clion's code completion. There is also no content explanation in the document.
