They gave me a php.net account now there is no excuse not to do documentation on there.

PHPEd is weird... you'll take some time to understand it.
I have mine for over 4y and still have no clue around the tool.
Maybe it's better if we document purely using Github on either ReST or MarkDown.

Hopefully no understanding of phped is needed, afaik there is some more or less automated way to extract documentation from the code and make it into xml.

Hmm only skeleton and loads of XML 👎 your suggestion sounds better
