Hi there. I had a huge mess of digital pictures gathered over the years from different digital cameras and phones all dumped up in one single hard disk. I realized that the folder structure system is absolute trash to organize these things. I wanted it to be like the google search engine system where you just open your browser and search for a phrase and it shows you all the relevant images. I thought tags are the correct system of organizing photos and AI must be able to help. I searched and searched but found nothing on this idea. There are hundreds of photo managers and software from Google Photos to Picasa to this and that. But Photonix was the thing I had been looking for. So glad I found it & thank you very much for your service ! Just one problem, I am a Windows user. The documentation of photonic does not cover installation instructions for Windows. Photonix worked but the docker thing slows the PC to a crawl. It feels so sooooo heavyyyy for a regular home desktop. Help would be highly appreciated. Note: Couldn't find any contact email on the Photonix site. Made a gitHub account just to be able to contact you guys. |

Hi @beleaguered-castle. Sorry to hear that Photonix was too intensive on Windows. I believe Docker docker will always be quite slow without a Linux kernel at the base level - same on MacOS. I have some plans to make it more modular and allow lots of the heavy parts to be switched off so hopefully things will improve for users like you in the next couple of releases. |
