Error output is unusable

At some point following a Prawn update (or possibly a Rails update, or debug update) the error output from a Prawn PDF is awful. The first line of the error is readable and contains the error. However, the error continues to output garbage for the next 3 days. Once the console will allow me to (which often times is many many minutes of waiting), I must force the rails server to quit and start over.

Is this a Prawn bug or a config issue?

This is beautiful 😍

But seriously, this is just how Ruby serialises objects. It includes instance variables and their values and so on. You'll get this kind of stuff when you call inspect on a Prawn document. If you don't want this try patching the method.

If I introduce a typo in the PDF, like a misspelled method name, the error message takes me 5 minutes to clear and move on. What you're saying is---that Ruby error handler is calling inspect at some point, which is causing such a long output. Is that correct? I would definitely prefer to skip all the I love you's and just see the first couple lines of the error---which is the actual usable output. How would patch the method to get a more preferred output?

This issue is not an issue with Prawn, and yet you took the time to help. Had I known Prawn was innocent I would have brought this to S.O. Nonetheless, thank you very much for the help.
