It works with pyqt but it doesn't work for me with pyside6.
what should I do?

I have never tried to get this to work with pyside. My focus has always been PyQt. I don't think I will have the time to work on this project again anytime soon (yes it is abandonware), so your best bet is to fork the repo and make the necessary changes to get it to work with pyside6. This project is relatively simple and contains not that many lines of code, so I think with minimal changes you can get very far.
