Several issues that two pediatric urologists and I spotted under "Abnormal penis morphology"

  1. "Wide penis" is a subclass of "Webbed penis". That doesn't seem correct.
    https://hpo.jax.org/browse/term/HP:0030265

  2. HPO has "Penile hypospadias"
    https://hpo.jax.org/browse/term/HP:0003244
Other sources have more specific terms — "distal penile hypospadias" and "proximal penile hypospadias". We think that "Midshaft hypospadias" should be a subclass of "Penile hypospadias".

  3. What is "Anteriorly displaced urethral meatus"?
    https://hpo.jax.org/browse/term/HP:0008648
It seems like hypospadias (ventral position) and epispadias (dorsal position) cover the two possibilities for displacement.

  4. How is "Angulation of penis", https://hpo.jax.org/browse/term/HP:6000085, different from "Chordee", https://hpo.jax.org/browse/term/HP:0000041
We are wondering if Chordee is a subclass of "Angulation of penis", or if the direction of the angle or the cause (congenital vs. acquired) is relevant to distinguishing these terms.

  5. What is "Partial development of the penile shaft"? This class does not have a definition and it is not clear what this describes.
    https://hpo.jax.org/browse/term/HP:0008708
