What makes these Dev Containers different:

1. Multi-arch: linux/amd64, linux/arm64/v8
   ℹ️ Runs on Apple M series using Docker Desktop.
2. Base image: Debian instead of Ubuntu
   ℹ️ Upcoming: CUDA-enabled images are Ubuntu-based.
3. IDE: JupyterLab next to VS Code
4. Just Python – no Conda / Mamba

The Mojo SDK License Terms (Last Modified: Feb 29th, 2024) state

[...] use the SDK and accompanying Documentation (as defined below), as made available at

The Mojo Data Science Dev Containers provide the Mojo SDK¹ at /opt/modular (MODULAR_HOME) in conjunction with JupyterLab and VS Code as IDEs solely for the purpose of of developing, testing, and publishing software applications in test, non-production environments ("Applications").
