There is button called "Switch to Release Version" that you can click to switch to the stable release of the extension. And the versions are different because when you use the Remote extensions in VS Code you're actually running a VS Code server on the remote machine, complete with its own set of extensions. So what you install locally does not automatically carry over to the remote machine. |

I have installed python extension in local which version is v2022.2.1924087327 , because I need to debug with python2.
Then I install the extension into my remote dev machine, the extension version changed to pre-release version !
I have turn off auo update switch ,but it not work .
Why the remote installed version is different with local version? And when I install another version by using click extension setting button, once I reload window , the extension version will change to pre-release version !
