As the title says, it would be a lot more user friendly for touch screen devices to be able to select the virtual keyboard keys with touch input.
A couple more things regarding the on screen keyboard, should I open these as separate issues ? -
Option to keep the virtual keyboard on screen instead of disappearing after each keypress. (Close manually with the Select button).
Highlight the Shift and Symbol Shift keys when they are pressed so we know they are selected.
