ST7796

Hello, I'm new to this LCD displays world so, I was trying to use your ili9341 before and it worked but now I bought a bigger display but it uses a ST7796 controller and I was wondering if there was a way that I could use or modify a similar controller for the displays you already have to control the ST7796. I'm using plain AVR with a ATMEGA328p. I would be really happy if you could answer.
