Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

This issue #5253 has a valid point. What can DOSBox-X do to emulate a hard drive that should work with both newer MS-DOS that supports IDE and older MS-DOS that probably pre-dates IDE and may only recognize SCSI?

Does the PC-98 BIOS have some kind of compatibility mapping or does it matter the drive numbers involved whether the drive is IDE or SCSI?

What you want

Investigate this issue.

Perhaps IMGMOUNT should have an option whether to show as IDE, SCSI, or both.

Look at real PC-98 hardware to see if IDE devices show up through the BIOS interrupt through either SCSI or IDE numbers.
