Hi All,

We are facing iptables-restore issue in docker. below is the explanation to understood the issue.

Docker version : 1.12.1, build 23cf638
Kubernetes Version: Kubernetes v1.4.9

  1. we are using kubernetes cluster to deploy docker containers, but some time communication is blocking from containers to outside(i mean to other servers & nslookup also not working)

  2. during that time we are seeing below logs.
    ===============
    Jul 21 17:51:50 dc1mznode3.gst.gov.in dockerd[1181448]: E0721 12:21:50.498585 1 proxier.go:1250] Failed to execute iptables-restore: exit status 1 (iptables-restore: line 4 failed
    Jul 21 17:51:52 dc1mznode3.gst.gov.in dockerd[1181448]: E0721 12:21:52.773577 1 proxier.go:1250] Failed to execute iptables-restore: exit status 1 (iptables-restore: line 4 failed
    ================

  3. Our environment Trend micro anti malware is running. will it cause any issues? or is it problem with kube-proxy(proxy and flannel we are running as a containers)?

  4. Issue resolves after restarting the docker.(my understanding is after restart iptables will restore again).

Kindly provide your inputs. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jagadeeswar
