New Node won't sync

What happened?

New node won't sync because hosts file not populated. Had to manually copy peers. BTW, I could not update node since December, so decided to start afresh yesterday. Additionally, config:edit returns error "Error: spawn C:......... \AppData\Local\Programs\Microsoft VS Code ENOENT", after updating "ironfish config:set editor".
