Compressing the output of picca_metal_dmat and picca_metal_xdmat to fits.gz when using a binning of 1Mpch^-1 in r-parallel and r-transverse results in a failure to open the metal files. This is resolved when not using compression (.fits) but the file size is very large, ~6GB for full Everest.
