Monthly +1 for this. Right now I could find two projects to add NWC to CLN:

https://github.com/thesimplekid/cln-nostr-wallet-connect (does not work)
https://github.com/gudnuf/cln_nwc (too unstable)

Maybe their work can make the Alby implementation easier?
