Running Command Prompt (MS-DOS) "breaks" Windows 95 with garbled blue pixels. #50

Comment edited to provide the solution

Use Alt-Enter to make it "full screen" (as far as Windows 95 is concerned). This should restore the display from the garbled mess you see and allow you to access the command prompt. Press Alt-Enter again to leave full screen and go back to a window mode.

I am having this problem as well on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04)

I have that too on MacOS.
After running command.com I have black screen with some garbled pixels in one area.
Restart does not help.

For msdos, just click the screen, it will get back to desktop and reopen msdos from the bottom bar, works fine

I’m not entirely sure what’s actually breaking - if anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear them!

A bunch of people will likely come across this bug and not read the HELP.md file, so I'll leave this issue open until the initial wave of press coverage has calmed down a little 😅

How I know, this is VBE video driver bug.
