It seems as if compiling with --optimize is currently not a functionality that is provided by Ellie. I wanted to experiment with Debug.log and friends in production mode. It'd be great if there was a checkbox or something that allowed me to select the production mode.

Excellent idea! This will be extended to at least include the --debug option as well. --debug will default to true, --optimize will default to false.
