As you might know, Thorium Reader was originally developed as an end-user application supporting the LCP DRM on desktop machines and allowing EDRLab to test innovative functionalities and new user experiences. It quickly became a reference for publishers willing to check EPUB 3 support in a reading application, then gained adoption by approximately 200.000 users (as of today) and was forked by several organizations.
This wide adoption comes with challenges we must address: adding new features has complexified the user experience, and (as of Nov 2023) we are working on an important evolution of the UX/UI. This may impact your implementation. This is why we’re willing to open a discussion with you.
In practice, we’d like to obtain a synthesis of the modifications you made to the Thorium codebase in your application.
We are also open for a call with your project team to discuss closer collaboration.
Please get in touch with us via contact @ edrlab.org so we can book a meeting and discuss these aspects. We look forward to a fruitful discussion.
