Add (elpaca-wait) below (use-package magit ... ) maybe that will fix that? ?

@hmanhng Yep, I know, however, this will make maintaining MinEmacs a pain, as I can't properly test the installation process each time I add a new package! I've opened an issue upstream to see if this can be fixed in elpaca.

@abougouffa I agree with you, sometimes on my old laptop it can cause freezing due to cpu and memory overload when installing too many packages at the same time without control.
Anyway, this is a young project, hopefully the developer will overcome the shortcomings.

@hmanhng I've tried to migrate to elpaca but I'm getting several issues, and can't have the same behavior on multiple machines.

The project is interesting, but I think it still immature for me to rely on it. I will keep the feat/elpaca branch for the moment so I don't forget about it.

In all cases, even if straight.el isn't fast enough, the installation is a one time process, and then there is no difference between the two.
