I downloaded the .xml file in my Documents folder. The problem is that when I try to import it in Notepad++ I get an error which states that "import failed"

What am I doing wrong?

I'm also having this issue.... Still no solution?

I solved it now by displaying the raw XML and saving the file from there. Maybe it'll also work for you, @yordiak ?

Install successful. I suspect that it helped that I saved and closed the file and reopen NPP.

YES. Do NOT click the link to the xml file in the README.

Go to the source ...
https://github.com/JuliaEditorSupport/julia-NotepadPlusPlus/blob/master/Julia_Notepad%2B%2B.xml
... and select all the code, copy it to the clipboard, open NP++ and paste it into a blank document.
Then save it locally. THEN import per instructions, and restart Notepad++.
